Roamy in Niagra Falls!

Roamy In Niagara Falls Ontario

I think Roamy really enjoyed being in Niagara Falls, Ontario, this past weekend. It was a long weekend here in Canada, celebrating Queen Victoria Day on Monday. Here is Roamy standing in front of the American Falls....remember, you can click on the pictures to enlarge.

Look what Steve was threatening to do!! Aaarrrrggghhhh! Roamy let him know that he did NOT want to become a daredevil and go over the falls!! lol

Here is Roamy in front of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls...there's always a lot of mist in front of them so it's hard to get a proper picture.

This is the closest we can get to the Canadian falls . Roamy said he felt dizzy just looking down at the rushing water....

Roamy was surprised to see a boat down below and I explained to him that it was the Maid of the Mist, a boat that brings tourists right up to the bottom of the falls....

Here it is, as far as it will go....full throttle but doesn't go any further because of the sheer power of the water when it hits the bottom.

We stopped in at a souvenir store and they had some neat things that Roamy really enjoyed...

He even got to ride on a moose!!

He thought the teepee was really neat....

See him poking out of it? hehe

We then went to visit the Floral Clock and he enjoyed posing in front of it....

There were beautiful tulips everywhere and he said they were so comfy to sit in:-)

The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom and so very gorgeous!

Roamy had to get up close and personal with the blossoms....

We also went to Merritt Park where they have bronze statues commemorating the hard working people from Canada and around the world who came to the Niagara Peninsula to build the waterway known as the Welland Canal.

Roamy sat on this statue's hands:-) I think he was just trying to get closer to the picnic basket that was sitting beside her!!

We found this old cemetery named the Christian Warner Burial Grounds where many U.E. Loyalists are buried.

Apparently, this is the oldest known gravestone and it was placed into the interior face of this wall, so that it is preserved from further damage.

I love walking through old cemeteries and Roamy seemed quite interested as well!

On our last night in Niagara Falls, I told Roamy to get a good night's sleep because he had a long trip ahead of him, flying out to Dianne in PA:-)

I truly enjoyed having Roamy visiting me and I'm gonna miss the little guy. Goodbye, Roamy, I will never forget you:-) Hugs xoxo

  6. How brave he was to stand so close to the edge! Lucky no one flicked him off with their finger... he'd have drowned down below for certain. Phew! You were a luck gnome, Roamy.
